"You Can’t Google God"

Join 500 college students from a dozen colleges and universities in the Upper Midwest, as Fran lays out a challenge to be counter-cultural in our dealings with people and our approach to meaningful ministry. In Galadriel’s Lament Fran traces the meteoric rise of networked living, drawing heavily from scholars and voices outside the Church. In the second message, Growing Up Digital (Without Being Deleted), he lays out the new pressures the rising generation faces in their "life on the screen," and ends with an amazing challenge to spend a month on the "dark side of the moon" by unplugging for a season. In the third session, Yahweh is  Not The Great iAM, he builds a case for technology as idolatry, and seeks to forge a “Theology of Technology. In the final session, Binary Disciples, Fran presents the notion that the biblical model of ministry and relationship is built on the notion of us seeing ourselves as “zeroes and ones," and lays out a compelling model for the fastest and most effective method of world evangelization and discipleship.  (back to index)
